Great beds and nice towels
ATTN AGGIES, DO NOT STAY HERE ON GAME WEEKENDS. I had a bad taste in my mouth after I was forced to rent room for 3 nights to stay here for an Aggie game but my wife and I took the opportunity to have a long weekend and relax since it’s less than 30 minutes to College Station. On Sunday morning after the game I came down to lobby/dining room because I am an early riser and wanted to let my wife sleep. The front desk turned on ESPN for me to see World Series highlights and the highlights from the college games I missed.
I was ONLY guest in the room, sitting on the couch having some coffee and watching highlights, breakfast wasn’t being served yet and they changed the channel without saying a word to Fox News. I let her know I was watching the other channel and she informed me that it was hotel policy to have only the news or weather channel on, I said I’m the only guest in here, what difference does it make? She wouldn’t change it back. It’s a game weekend, Houston is in the World Series and played last night, the Cowboys and Redskins are playing later today, the Aggies played last night and you have to watch Fox News? I am including a picture of the empty dining area with Fox News on, that couch is where I was sitting when they changed the channel.
So if you are a sports fan coming down for Aggie game and find hotels hard to find, stay somewhere else because the policy of forcing you to rent an extra night and then having a strange policy that is so strict that employees would change a channel while you are watching it with nobody else in the room clearly indicates they really don’t care about what the guests of the hotel desire.
The room was great. Comfortable beds, pillows, and sheets. The staff was really friendly and made breakfast enjoyable!
In our room there was a 5 big crickets and 4 grasshopper my kid go crazy lol
Nice hotel. Pricey for the area but I expect it's the only newer hotel in area.
